Beckament.net

Welcome

Hello & welcome to the official Beckament band website, we've been going through some changes with the site (and the band) lately in an effort to make everything better and better. We're busy recording our album and we're also writing some new songs in the studio.

Progress (11-11-2007)

We've written a few more songs for the new album so recording is taking a while, lol. Many of the songs are done with just a few more to go...

D Street (6-14-2007)

Since the album is taking a bit longer than anticipated, I made a mixdown of the song 'D Street' from the (unreleased) album Blue. It's on our music page.

Recording (4-23-2007)

Yes, we are recording a new album and the drum and bass tracks are almost completely recorded.

Ped Zeppelin (9-28-2006)

2 years ago I build a pedal board (it's really big) to house my pedals in... I finally decided to get around to it again and it is finally done! It houses 3x power strips, 9x effects pedals, a digital multi-effects unit, and an A/B box (so really 11 pedals). Jeremy dubbed it 'Ped Zeppelin' due to it's massive size! Without going into too much detail; it allows me to run through my wah-wah and phaser before the A/B box, then splits the signal into 2x different signal paths. I think I'm gonna need another Fender tube amp soon to get the most out of it! It will work with 2x amps, but it would be really nice to run it into 4x 100-watt tube amps (but then I wouldn't want to move or mic it).

One I get used to all the possibilities and settings/wiring combinations I should be in tone heaven!!! Most of my EH pedals are in it as well as my Tube Driver for the big fat distortion!

Update (8-26-2006)

Kevin has cut off part of right his thumb and recording / gigging has been put on hold for approx. 1-2 months. We all wish him the best and fastest recovery! He will be going to Burning Man (again) this year, we made him pack lots of antiseptic and antibiotics! We need that thumb back (well what's left of it...)

We're Back! (8-19-2006)

As of August 2006 Beckament is back in action... After 4 years we have decided to record another album and played a private party (8-19-2006) to celebrate. We still have the multitrack recordings of the album 'Blue' and it may be released someday as well... We let our domain go and must re-purchase it and find a better place to host our site.

One thing that needs to happen is a major site update... don't be surprised if things don't all work properly for the next few weeks, there is alot of information to add and update, songs to encode, etc...

Old News (2003)

Beckament has not been playing out and will probaby take some time off.... We're finally out of copies of the F***ed Up CD and do not plan on pressing anymore in the near future.

Old News (2002)

The band lineup has changed.. Kevin Fugiel and Jeremy Barber (who have both been involved in Beckament since the start) joined the band to replace Nate and Erik who left the band to persue other interests. Work on the album Blue is halted... the album is nearly finished, but with the lineup change we expect a new sound and are working on many new ideas. We may release the songs that are already completed someday on a compilation disc... we'll see.
